Staff scheduling for salons and spas

Chair renters, part-time therapists and front-desk staff on one weekly schedule. Staff set their own availability and swap shifts from their phones, tips are captured at clock-out, and everyone knows about a change the moment it is published.

What gets in the way

Where the week falls apart

  • Availability lives in five different conversations

A stylist’s days change with school and a second job, and the schedule is built against an old version.

  • Swaps arranged at the front desk

Two people agree to swap on a sticky note and the manager finds out when the wrong person shows up.

  • Tips reconciled by hand

Cash and card gratuities are reconciled against a paper sheet every pay period.

How Shift Terminal fits

Shift Terminal for salons

For your team

Availability set by the staff themselves

Preferred and unavailable times, repeating weekly or biweekly, with a notes field for the reason. Managers are notified of changes, and auto-assign respects them.

Requests

Swaps with an approval record

A swap request goes to the coworker to accept and then, if your rules say so, to the manager to approve. Every step is logged in the shift history.

Time clock

Tips at clock-out

When tips tracking is on, staff report tips as they clock out, and the amount lands on the timesheet and in the payroll export.

Notifications

Notifications for every change

Publishing notifies only the people whose shifts changed. Shift reminders go out before the shift, on the channel each person chose.

Included

The parts of the plan you’ll use most

All of it is included in the one flat price. These are the areas that matter most for teams like yours.

FAQ

Questions from teams in salons & spas

Can we schedule by service or chair?

Use positions for services (colour, cuts, esthetics, front desk) and the Positions view to see coverage per service; use tags for chairs or rooms.

Is there a per-person price?

No. The single plan is per organization, so a salon with six people pays the same as one with sixty.

Can staff see their hours before payday?

Yes. My Timesheet shows regular and overtime hours for the current period, and staff can request a correction while the period is open.
